The Humanity of Our Community
Only the stars can plan these things. But here I am today, Valentine's Day. I had no intention of even acknowledging the day to you, as in my mind it is an American hyped holiday that is a bad excuse for buying GMO laden sugar crap. (Oh my goodness, I sound like my husband, maybe HE says that!)
But in collating the responses that you gave in our Laughing and Crying in 2013 Survey, something happened. I already liked you quite a lot, and I did not plan on such an emotional response. But when you put 40 responses together in a single reading, it has its own energy. You had me laughing and crying. Our humanity is reflected so simply and beautifully in you.
You see, I get some feedback on every issue I put out. And most of it is so encouraging (which I appreciate more than you know), but it doesn't really let me get to know you. Now, with 40 responses to the Survey, I can feel you. I can feel you regardless of whether you responded or not because you'll be surprised at the common themes. See if you can find yourself amongst them.
And, just because I need you to know it's coming. I have just edited through a most juicy 2-part series that will start next week. It's about SUGAR From your responses to the survey, my guess is you will find everything you need to do something grand for yourself.

Patrick and I are reading the 'Life of Pi' together. I've been reading a lot of it to him out loud (first time I've done that since they were little kids and I read The Hobbit to them.) He has read some of it to himself but¬Ç the long and the short of it is, I won't let him see the movie until he's read the book. :-). It's killing me because I want to see the movie. I loved the book.
