Sun Balm ageing depends on the packaging it comes in. For sunscreen in tubes, the use by date is 30 months from manufacture. The use by date will be noted on the seal at the top of the tube. For sunscreen in tins, we recommend using it within 6 months of opening, as the air has more access to the product. Because Sun Balm does not rely on chemical actives or staying mixed with water, it is naturally more stable and does not lose its effectiveness as quickly as some other sunscreens. We recommend using sunscreen within the use by date.
